Shirley Dita has been actively engaged in various academic endeavors in English language education, linguistics and multilingualism. Within English research, she has presented and published several papers mainly in second language acquisition, corpus linguistics, Philippine Englishes and other world Englishes. She has also contributed works in Philippine languages particularly Ibanag and several major Central Philippine languages.
